hi everyone been on pregablin for a month, I had a terrible cough with it and terrible cold for a month

The cough seems to be standard.

If it continues I suggest you go back on gabapentin where you didn't have these side effects and increase it as needed.

Are you sure that pregabalin was the cause? The UK is currently experiencing a tsunami of respiratory diseases. Everyone I know has had either Flu, Covid or RSV over the last 6 weeks.

I'm also on a low dose of Pregabalin (150mg ) & am just recovering from a throat virus which slammed dunked my voice & am still croaking my way through New Year.I don't think the medication had any impact on it as so much is going around @ moment but maybe it's our liw resistance levels due to lack of sleep ??

It might not be the pregabalin that’s causing it. I haven’t had that issue. (Of course we’re all different)

As Joolsg says there is a lot of coughs/flu etc going around just now. Including one that seems to last for ages with no other symptoms. My husband has had a bad cough since mid November.

Maybe persevere to see? Of course while monitoring it.
