I keep reading that drugs should be taken a couple of hours before bedtime 'as that's when RLS kicks off'. But mine is largely due to a lumbar injury i sustained 33 years ago which results in the nerve bundle that exits there behaving like short- circuiting electric wires. It means RLS can kick off anytime during the day when I'm not distracting myself by keeping busy. So when should I take my pills? (Pregabalin 100mg, with GP permission to step up to 200mg in stages and Pramipexole 0.22mg reducing to zero gradually over next 2 months). I currently take them about 4 hours before bedtime as any later and I'm being driven up the wall by RLS.

Take it when you feel you need it and you can divide the dose but you may find out that once you are off the pramipexole and the symptoms have settled that you only need it at night.
However if you have pain from the nerves you may have to continue taking it during the day.
Sounds more a neuropathic pain if it results from nerve damage.
hi, I also have day time & night time symptoms and so I’m prescribed 50mg breakfast & lunch & 275mg in the evening. I have found this to at least help/ease some of it.
