Hi All,I've had local anesthetic today for a gynae procedure and I've been twitching like a good'un since 3pm. If stuck it out as my oxycodone is due in the next hour. Could it be that that's made me bad today? Thanks

Not the anaesthetic, but the anti emetic they use.We normally advise anyone planning surgery to ask in advance for RLS safe anti emetics. Zofran(ondansetron) is safe.

It will settle.

Ah thanks for that. I'm alright now I've had my tablet it's helped with the pain too! I'll remember that for next time. Had my ferritin results it's gone up to 78 the saturation is 18.7 % so the neurologist is liasing with the haematologist.

Hopefully the haematology dept will arrange an iron infusion. It's difficult to raise ferritin when levels are between 75 & 100. And the % saturation is very low.Good luck.
