well have now been off pramipexole cometely since June 1st this year. I am shocked at the subtle impacts it has had on me. A brain fog I did not realise had descended on me and stayed for years while on pramipexole. I know this only because of a measure of mental accuity that has developed in contrast since quitting pramipexole. I have been hit with huge bouts of anxiety and depression, which I suspect is from buprenorphine. Since last posting on here I have been taking 100mg of gabapentin each evening and I believe it is starting to helps ease both of these. I continue to have bouts of being unable to stay awake. I could walk and struggle not to fall asleep. Was referred for a sleep study by my neurologist sobwaiting for the results. I still get break throughs of RLS but a 1/4 tablet of 2mg Buprenorphine clears it relatively quickly. I think it also causes a dry mouth, but all still manageable and keeps me clear of pramipexole.

I take a small dose of pregabalin to counter Buprenorphine anxiety. I use mouth sprays for the dry mouth, especially at night.
I suspect the extreme drowsiness will settle as you get used to gabapentin and Buprenorphine.
And, your body has spent years of 'sleeplessness' on Pramipexole. It can take months for your brain to recover from year's on Pramipexole.
Well done for getting off it.
Joolsg ,I have very dry mouth due to Zomorph and especially during the night time with cpap. I end up pulling the cpap mask off and drinking water but it doesn't last and my mouth is very dry again. Can you recommend a good dry mouth spray please? Thanks Pipps

I use this and the mouth wash every night. If you use nightly, it does improve the dry mouth after about 2 weeks.
Pipps, have you considered switching to a nose-only mask? I have no experience myself with cpap, although it came up several years ago, and the nose-only mask was mentioned. Just a thought, don’t know whether it would be feasible in your case or even effective against the dry mouth.
