Educating MDs

It was disheartening to read a medical column today in a Florida newspaper in which the physician responded to a writer who had a question about RLS. The physician whose email address was from med.Cornell.edu (!) responded that pregabalin and pramipexole are first line treatment! This is from one of the US’s premier teaching hospitals! I forwarded him the report from the Mayo Clinic and indicated that I know first hand that pramipexole is no longer considered to be a first line treatment”. It’s an uphill battle!

Thank you! I just reviewed column. The MD stated that both Pregabalin and Prami are first line treatment.
