My niece

I feel so bad as my niece has rls. She is like me in many ways and now has inherited it probably from me. Luckily she hasn't seen any doctors yet. I've warned her against taking dopamine agonists. Please recommend any doctor in the Birmingham UK area. She is even willing to go to London

I've sent a message Coeso. Dr Thomas at Gwent Sleep Clinic, Prof. Matthew Walker at UCL, Queen Sq or Dr Robin Fackrell in Bath.

As long as she makes it absolutely clear she will not consider dopamine agonists, they will arrange iron infusions and/or gabapentinoids.

Dr Bagary at the Barberry Clinic in Birmingham is willing to discuss iron infusions. You could private message bedith6 who mentioned this in a posting in 2023 and ask her more should you wish to do so..

Hi there. It is strange because she does not come up when typing in her username after clicking on Members. Here is her thread mentioning Dr Bagary. healthunlocked.com/rlsuk/po... You could click on her username and send her a private message that way.

I've sent you a private message. :)

Is your niece a child or adult? I have read repeatedly that most children respond very well to iron therapy.

ETA: Your niece wouldn't have inherited it from you but rather one or both of her grandparents (your parents).
