Just found this article on the internet and thought it would interest you:

"We report three patients with restless legs syndrome complicated with severe nephrotic syndrome. After treatment with stellate ganglion block, the symptoms in the restless legs were relieved within 1 month, and the quality of sleep was significantly improved. Our findings suggest that stellate ganglion block has broad promise in the management of restless legs syndrome patients with severe comorbidities. ..."

everything has the potential for side effects. Somewhat left field - but maybe that is what we need - trying something different. From memory it needed to be repeated.

makes sense to me as sympathetic nervous system is to do with ‘fight and flight’ whereas the parasympathetic nervous system is associated with ‘rest and digest ‘ . So that includes sexual arousal, urination, digestion , lacrimation (crying). All of those things can relieve RLS (temporarily). So therefore if you ‘squash’ the sympathetic n.s. by overloading parasympathetic n.s. , it could be imagined to be a tiny and temporary but slightly similar thing to doing a stellar ganglion block…!

Anatomically rather tricky , near 3 major arteries and also only 80% of people actually have a formed stellate ganglion and not a spread out mush of nerves there..

But very exciting!
