Macushield contains lutein, zeaxathin and meso-zeaxanthin and I haven't seen any references to these affecting RLS.There was a post here on this subject 7 years ago when bedith6 was concerned:
I have wet macular degeneration in both eyes for seven years and get injections every 3-4 months.
I took Icaps when I first knew of this. icaps are almost the same as your treatment. it did not affect my severe RLS in any way. It’s doubtful if they helped eyes but you do what you can. Best wishes
I’ve been taking Macushield for well over ten years and I haven’t noticed any effect on my RLS. It contains anti-oxidants derived from plants. I will take more notice now on the days I forget to take it, whether the RLS improves and vice versa and I’ll report back if so.
