My brother-in-law is being treated for acute myeloid leukemia and his ongoing treatment is being delayed by a shortage of the oral chemotherapy drug that he's been prescribed....

That is just awful. I'm so sorry to hear that.

Oh, no! That is totally unacceptable. Is there anything that can be done about this? I live in the United States, but I would like to help, if I can. And I'm so very sorry that your brother-in-law is having to go through this. 😭

Thanks so much, but as the problem is with oral chemo tablets (for use at home) he can - if it proves necessary - go back on to intravenous chemo in hospital (he's already had several months of that). Not ideal and not what he wants to happen: hopefully this particular shortage will be resolved before too long!

that is the truth. I’ve had trouble here in Washington state trying to get my prescription and it’s so defeating. We really are numbers when it comes to insurance companies pharmacist and the doctors, there are the good ones out there thank God but then you gotta jump the other hoops, we are strong breed of people.💜

Fellow Washingtonian here. I've been lucky that my medicine hasn't been effected by supply (yet).Hope it all works out for you.

This is really scary!! I live here in the United States and I NEED my medicine and there have been many times that I have had trouble filling my RLS medicine due to shortages of the medicine. It is the ONLY medicine I have found that actually works for my RLS. I don't know what I will do if I am unable to get my medicine. 😭😭😭
