I was prescribed pregabilin by my doctor from the advice I was given by Healthunlocked Unfortunately he prescribed half the normal dosage which would be prescribed for Ekbon Syndrome This was a waste of time
My current doctor won't discuss Ekbon Syndrome so I have nowhere to turn
I am 77 years of age I have Ekbon Syndrom all the time especially at night when I try to sleep I haven't slept well this year after I had Bowel Surgery to remove a large Polyp
I wish you all the best with any treatments you may have
I feel lost and neglected by the Medical Profession
Good luck

I'm sorry to hear this. The starting dose of pregabalin for over 65 is 50mg.Then you can increase by 25mg every few nights up to around 150mg and observe the results.
What dose have they given you? Can you ask for the average dose of 150-200mg by showing your GP the RLS-UK website?
Your GP should take note of NICE guidance which shows the max. dose for RLS is 450mg.
I thought you were already taking pregabalin and you had burning legs on it ???
You might ask to be referred to a neurologist.
You could also print out the relevant section of the Mayo Updated Algorithm on RLS at Https://mayoclinicproceedings.org/a... in addition to the NICE guidance Joolsg provided the link to.
