Hi to all. I am trying to come off pramipexole and I am on Oxycodone and I am having a very bad time trying to come off pramipexole. My wife wants me to buy a machine from Boots the chemist. It is called "REVITIVE PRO HEALTH Circulation Booster" for about £150. It does not say it is for RLS and I don't think it could work. Has anyone tried it or have any opinions please? I am desperately looking for some help with pramipexole THING. Thanks Joe

Unfortunately coming off DA's is misery. Muscle stimulation for circulation , RLS is not a circulation problem. May give you something else to do while up at night. Try everything else that is here for coming off - especially writing posts and getting help. Opiates are probably the best medication wise. I am sure the team will jump in with lots of suggestions. There are other vibration devices for attaching to your legs available in the UK (now cannot find the name but has been discussed recently), heat or cold, TENS machine , Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (usually done for depression but shown promise in RLS and maybe useful in coming off DA).

If you are on oxycodone, and it is spread out over 24 hrs, then you are trying to taper off the Pramipexol too quickly. (I'm reckoning)

By what amounts are you going down?

Since you are having a hard time coming off pramipexole you can get an inexpensive jewelry scale that measures down to .01 gram from Amazon ($11 in the US) and shave off a bit of the tablet and measure it. Then reduce by that amount every 2 weeks. Going slower with a smaller amount will make it easier.

Not what you're looking for?
