memantine

Just picked up rx for memantine for migraines.. does anyone have any knowledge of this RX and RLS? Also got Sumatriptan? Not sure about taking either… Thanks in advance

Sumatriptan should be OK - at least I haven't found anything that says it isn't. 1 person 5 years ago on HealthUnlocked said memantine said it made her RLS worse although I haven't found anything else.

I take sumatriptan regularly for migraine and have never noticed that it adversely affected my RLS. I have taken it all times of day and night for many years so I think I would have noticed if it triggered my RLS. I am not familiar with memantine.

A quick Google brings up "Memantine is a medication used to slow the progression of moderate-to-severe Alzheimer's disease" so I suppose it is supposed to address the same problems as RLS. in my mind it is best to remove as many of the causes of both (which are the same) than to try to medicate the effect. youtu.be/x-WC0LxQbA0?si=Jbu...(Not working as expected?)
