I seem to have succes with a combination of pramipexole(0,36mg) and Gabapentin (600mg) - is that a very bad idea? Or what is your experience?

Better to gradually reduce the Pramipexol. Gradually.

Gradually! Research Pramipexol withdrawal on this site.

Then up the Gabapentin as necessary.

But split it between supper time and evening.

Also do not take any magnesium meds within 3 hours of the Gabapentin. That may include stomach meds that have magnesium as an ingredient.

Good luck.

Yes it is a bad idea - .36 mg of pramipexole is getting up there as .5 mg is the maximum dose and you have augmented before. It will happen again. So while you are doing well, it is a good time to come off it. I gave you information on how to come off it and how to take gabapentin 3 months ago. If you want I'll be glad to give it to you again.

Also did you ever have your ferritin tested?

You may know this but in case you don't: Since you take it every day be sure to take it at the same time so it is at least 24 hours apart since hepcidin is released when you take it so that iron won't be absorbed for the next 24 hours. Take it preferably at night at least 1 hour before a meal or coffee or tea and at least 2 hours after a meal or coffee or tea since iron is absorbed better on an empty stomach and the tannins in coffee and tea limit absorption. If you take magnesium, calcium or zinc even in a multivitamin, take them at least 2 hours apart since they interfere with the absorption of iron. Also antacids interfere with its absorption so should be taken at least 4 hours before the iron or at least 2 hours after. Don't take your iron tablets before or after exercise since inflammation peaks after a workout. Don't take tumeric as it can interfere with the absorption of iron or at least take it in the morning if you take your iron at night. If you take thyroid medicine don't take it within 4 hours.
