This is a link to an article from Iron Disorders Institute.

It is about understanding ferritin and side issues.

It is , obviously,written for a Hemochromatosis audience, but many of us need to figure out all the terms involved and understand them fully.

thank you. Interesting comment somewhere in the middle that modestly higher levels of ferritin shouldn’t be too concerning. I would think that is relevant for people contemplating infusions.

Yes. The GP s tend to get worried by ferritin over 100, but really it's ok up to a 1000, without getting panicky.

Ferritin is a marker of inflammation, so it could be expected to be higher with an illness etc.
