Both ambien and ativan are safe medicines for insomnia
Safe OTC options for insomnia include: valerian, chamomile, hops, L-tryptophan, 5-HTP, glycine, and GABA
I definitely think you need to get off the Pramipexole. Sleeping tablets won't help the severe RLS caused by augmentation. They'll just make you drowsy and then waking with RLS and walking about is more likely to lead to falls.
As pregabalin made you feel 'awful' you will probably need low dose opioids after Pramipexole
Is your doctor familiar with RLS and willing to look at the Mayo algorithm to help you through withdrawal and onto better meds
