There are sound frequencies available on you Tube aimed at treating RLS- and they work. I have severe primary RLS and have been using Kratom which works well but I'd rather not have to use it. (Never wanted to mess with pharmaceuticals.) On you tube do a search for "frequencies for treating restless leg syndrome." The one that works best for me is put out by Healing Box Brainwaves ( I have no affiliation with them.) You need to use headphones as these are binaural beats. There are free apps available that allow you to copy MP3 files from you Tube. I did this and play it on repeat on my iPod with sleep headphones. (I contacted them and offered to pay for the file but they never responded.)
Well this is just a miracle to me. to have that awful creepy-crawly jerking soothed is such a relief.
Would be interested to hear if this helps anyone else.

Fascinating. There are several clips to choose from, some sound more soothing than others. There are lots of sufferers adding comments and I wanted to tell them all to come to this forum for support!
I also use binaural beats on YouTube, this one in particular..youtu.be/bPf3CNakJSg
For me, unfortunately, they are not a miracle cure but they can be useful in the early hours for getting back to sleep. I put this one on loop because it's quite short, only 15 mins I think. I also listen to various recordings of rain on YouTube every single night, as they are good to block out tinnitus as well as a gentle nudge into sleep. That's after I've taken a small dose of temazepam, plus the obligatory magnesium, and a few drops of CBD oil. Sometimes nothing works, but that seems to be life with RLS.
Beware of YouTube medical "advice". RLS is a disease of the brain and currently there is no cure. Trust only valid, scientific sources such as Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins.
Remember: s/he who treats their own disease has a fool for a patient.
Thirty years ago I was diagnosed with a clear cell carcinoma of the uterus. Because my prognosis was so terrible (20% chance of survival with a very aggressive protocol of chemo/radiation) I refused treatment (didn't want to die that way.). Did the Gerson therapy and it worked. Oncologist told me I'd be dead in 6 months. Met many people who had a good outcome with Gerson, even people with advanced melanoma. Long live alternative medicine.
