Yes - you may need to increase the tramadol temporarily. Have you started gabapentin?

No not taking anything but Tramadol ,0880 pramipexole and 2 paracetamol ,I thought the Tramadol would take over from Pramipexole , rather go on Kratom or butenorphine than Gabapentin or pregabalon thanks for replying . last night when legs were jumping in bed clasped both hands together raised them as far over my head as possible 30 to 50 times and it stopped the jumpy legs for awhile then repeated thought this might help somebody .we will try anything for a bit of peace no matter how long will keep doing this and hope it lasts . keep strong good people you are in my prayers.

Can I ask why you don't want to go on gabapentin?

Hi sue , From what I have read from others seem to take an awful lot and many say it does not last long while others get a good write up especially Kratom and Bupeniorphine but I bow to your superior knowledge ,I have tried Gabapentin and Pregabalin in the past with not much luck would like to try something different . God Bless

It is certainly up to you. I take 1500 mg of gabapentin and it completely controls my symptoms. Many people give up on it because they don't take enough. According to the Mayo Clinic Updated Algorithm on RLS: "Most RLS patients require 1200 to 1800 mg of gabapentin daily." Yes Kratom and Bupeniorphine do work well. I just prefer not to use opioids, even synthetic ones. It's great that you are coming off pramipexole. That is not easy nor fun. Good luck.

Sue, how long have you been taking 1500 of Gabapentin? Just wondering how long you’ve had complete relief. Do you ever have breakthrough symptoms?I currently take 600/300 split dose and get good relief but not complete. I would consider increasing my dose but I’m afraid I would keep needing a higher dose. I would appreciate your advice.

Since 7-5-2021. No breakthrough symptoms. I haven't had to keep increasing it. Basically just kept increasing it by 100 mg until I got complete relief at 1500 mg. You might want to try taking the 300 mg 1st instead of the 600 mg.

That’s really good to hear! I’ll take the 300mg first and then 600mg later. Good idea! Thanks for your help!

I have started using magnesium spray before bed, spray into hand then rub into legs & feet, seems to be working.

I just had my first night off pramipexole. Only got about 2 hours sleep. Taking 1800 mg of gabapentin helped me through the night. Didn't completely relieve symptoms but made it tolerable. I am hoping tonight goes a little better. Trying to figure out the right combination and when to take gabapentin for the best relief. Good luck to you all.

Hi, I’m 77 from Wisconsin USA and I take tramadol and pramipexole and they work together. Why did you stop taking something that works? Best I’ve done with RLS in 30 some years.
