I have suffered with RKS for about 10 years.I believe mine is caused by a dopamine deficiency.I live in Canada and I’m not sure my Dr woukd prescribe an opioid .. my guess is he wouldn’t.Is there any kind of literature or study that I can refer too to perhaps ask him to educate himself on RLS, as I can tell by how he talks he has no idea.Thank you for any information

The Mayo algorithm recommends opioids for severe RLS where pregabalin has failed.
The Massachussetts Opioid study by Dr. Winkelman is to show low dose opioids are safe and effective and the dose does not increase.
If you've been on dopaminergic meds and then pregabalin/gabapentin and still have RLS, maybe these articles would help.
What medications are you taking? Have you had your ferritin tested?
