RLS, pramapexole and weight gain
Arrrrgh!
You are highly likely to be suffering from what's known as Impulse Control Disorder. (ICD).
This is one of the two major complications caused by pramipexole and other dopamine agonists, ropinirole and rotigotine.
ICD is less common than the other.
I'm afraid the only way to treat an ICD is to stop taking the pramipexole.
Also unfortunately, having an ICD means that when you withdraw from the pramipexole, you are at risk of developing a condition known as DAWS, (Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome).
This mean that you are going to have to be extremely cautious in getting off the pramipexole.
Under no circumstance stop it suddenly.
I'm sorry to have to tell you this.
I first suggest you read up about DAWS, google it.
When you've absorbed that, you can come back here to seek advice on how to wean off pramipexole.
You're lucky you found this site.
Not sure I agree with the impulse control disorder. I munch after dinner while watching tv. I was able to stop when I did weight watchers and only snack on weight watcher foods. Now that you said that I am going to try to stop snacking so much at night and if i need to snack, keep it light.
Eat fruit.
