RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE

Can anyone recommend a RLS consultant in or around the Stamford area in Lincolnshire UK please? Would be willing to travel but if they would do video consultations that would be a bonus.

Dr Oscroft at Papworth hospital is a sleep specialist and is probably the nearest to you. Very few Neurologists specialise in RLS so be wary. As it's not taught at medical school or during specialist neurological training, a doctor will only be familiar with RLS and the latest research and treatments if they have trained under someone with a special interest. Kaarina, the site administrator has a list of doctors suggested by forum members who have been helpful.

I have had an initial consultation with Dr Oscroft and i am so relieved to find someone who seems to know what they are talking about!. He specialises in sleep disorders and COPD (I have recently been diagnosed with this) as well as RLS so he is treating me for all three!I cannot thank you enough for the recommendation. It is early days yet but watch this space!
