RLS v Tramadol withdrawal symptoms

My Specialist prescribed Tramadol for sciatica pain relief and now if I try to withdraw it I get severe RLS symptoms. I don’t know whether it is RLS or Tramadol withdrawal symptoms.

Tramadol helps control my RLS. Why are you trying to withdraw from using tramadol?

I’ve taken Tramodol for my RLS for 10 years now and it works better then anything else I’ve ever tried. I moved to a different state and my doctor wouldn’t give me Tramodol. It took a month before I could find someone to prescribe Tramodol and it was a horrible month. My first doctor said he wouldn’t prescribe it to me because it was addictive. I’m almost 80 who cares if it’s addictive if it works. Any doctor out there should know you can’t take something for years and then just stop. Thank goodness there are some good doctors out there but sometimes you have to look hard to find one. Tramodol works!!!!

Last night was dreadful. Took 100mg of Tramadol capsules as usual at 8pm. I have been on Tramadol for several years I weaned off Ropinirole with all the withdrawal effects some 2 years ago.I am asking myself why it seems has Tramadol stopped working? (Although I guess I had on & off about 3 hours sleep!)

And then again I missed taking Tramadol one evening a few weeks ago and had no sleep at all!

I am in a quandary as to what to do hoping that tonight might be different?
