The main initial side effects of gabapentin are drowsiness, dizziness and difficulty walking.

Note that gabapentin can take a few weeks to work. At the same time the initial side effects can diminish as you get used to it.

Not knowing this many people give up on gabapentin prematurely because they experience side effects and no benefit.

You need to try it at least 4 weeks.

On another note. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "low breth". If you by this you mean you have some difficulty breathing then please see your doctor about this.

I had to give up taking gabapentin round the clock because I couldn't walk. I only take it at night now, 300 mgs. Good luck.
