RLS AND ALCOHOL
I definitely think alcohol makes RLS worse. I have recently lost my husband andknow I am drinking too much, life very lonely and major problems with his daughters. Spend hours in tears, so turn to drink in the evening. White wine is not bad, but red wine or a spirit makes the legs very bad. Am really going to do
my best to be sensible and reduce intake. Don’t get tipsy but just blots things out
yet suffer in the night. Thanks for all info.
Alcohol is a definite trigger for RLS. I'm now an alcohol-free zone which is something I've had to accept having been a single malt guy before. My wife has a glass of white white a day but if I have any then I'm just not going to sleep.Leadingwren, can I humbly suggest that you reduce your intake. It will not help your RLS and in the long run it will not help with the understandable grief. I pray that you will find peace in the midst of all that you are going through.
