Salt and RLS.

I find that if I eat anything high in salt it really aggravates my RLS. I have stopped using salt on my food, and I look at the salt content on everything before I buy.

Salt can for some aggravate RLS. As can lots of different foods. Its a matter of experimenting and see what you think may help by leaving it out of your diet.

Thanks for posting your findings.

If it works for you then do whatever it takes, but according to the RLS foundation, it has not been proven that salt actually causes it. I think its just different for everyone, like caffeine, liquour even sweets will keep you awake if taken consumed before bedtime.

Different types of food or drink are triggers for some, not causes. Lots of people post what has helped them, not everything has to be proved to work. As you have said its different for everyone.

2 of my doctors ordered me to stop with salt.

They prescribed that I would only shop the outside

parameter of the store so I will avoid all processed,

convince foods. That means that everything has

to be prepared from scratch.

This order came to me about 3 months ago.

I did follow 8/10 times, that diet.

It didn't do much for me, to be completely honest.

As far as my RLS goes, no change.

I'm doing the juicer eating only raw foods presently,

It's very difficult to control my appetite and it doesn't

taste the best (my given recipes) but I feel better,

have a little extra energy.. but sure miss my hamburger,

roast beef, pizza meals...

So I juice 2 times a day and then eat a fish, chicken dinner

once a day. Everyday.

I have not been doing this long enough to see results with

RLS or Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Less salt is better anyway, regardless whether it helps with RLS, or not. I dont fancy doing the juicer bit, hope it helps eventually. But going without salt is healthy, so they say.

I wouldnt miss pizza or hamburgers as i dont really like them.

Are you eating fresh fruit, Yikes. ?? You can get a sweet hit from some of them, if you are missing sweet stuff, and fruit is very healthy.... :)
