How to live with RLS

Update: Back on the Rotigotine Patch. RLS is getting worse, (if that is possible?) It has taken and continues to take so much from me. It has beaten me. GP/Specialist cant/won't help me either. There is just no hope for us RLS sufferers. I am owed about 5yrs sleep, most people dream of winning the lottery, i just want to be able to sit down for longer than 5 mins or cuddle up with my husband and watch a 2hr movie. Sleep in my bed would be a bonus. Sounds silly but oh so true. If any one out there finds a cure PLEASE let me know.

Hi Histology, I combine my DA (Mirapex) with 2 co-dydramol which you could get on prescription from your GP. To prevent constipation I have some soft prunes with my breakfast and I take one high strength Senokot before bed. I am also on Clonazepam which helps with sleeping. My nights are fine now. Do also check your ferritin level because RLS is caused by a lack of iron in the brain and be aware of the usual triggers. Good luck.

Sorry for your suffering.I know very well that it might make your nights hell.I'm on rotigotina, Neupro 4 , plus gabapentina 400 , plus 4 drops of rivotril. It's working, for the moment .But if I don't follow de exact hour, or if i take any medication like predsin, then it starts all overDon't forget to make a lot or exercises, daily. Keep your legs and feet warm. In extreme, a very hot shower or get into hot tub. socks for airplane long flighs, helps .sex also helps.

There’s still no cure but it sounds like you’re suffering RLS in the daytime- which would indicate augmentation.

Has your GP warned you about augmentation?
