I used my new weighted blanket for the first time the night before last. I slept all night, nothing bothered me, my legs "slept" like babies... I was sooooo happy!!
Last night it was something totally different. I noticed my legs starting to 'jump', as I call it, and before it got worse I decided to put on some of the remedy that has helped me a lot, Icy-Hot. I had talked about it here a while ago and so far it seems to be the only thing that has really helped me with RLS.
Now I am so disappointed, I could cry.

go ahead and cry! and keep on doing whatever works. I tried a weighted blanket. quit becuse of getting up so much. I think doing the low-oxalate diet has helped. but I still get up 2 or more times each night and massage theragesic on my legs and do some exercises. the next time I use castor oil on my legs, cover with an old rag that has been warmed in the microwave, then the leg warmers I always wear. that way I do get sleep and am grateful for that.good wishes to you!
Thank you so much for your reply!!!. I do cry when I need to
Last night it was a little better.
Unfortunately, I was falling asleep and my husband thought I was awake and talked to me so I woke up and my legs started bothering me again. I put Icy-Hot on and I eventually fell back asleep.
I didn't say anything to him because he didn't do it to bother me. I know he would have been very upset.
Interesting. My daughter bought herself one of these - not for rls. She works nights, and at some point in the future she has offered to lend me it for a night when she is working to see if it helps me.
