As this tree did not give up growing in a most difficult lonely place, as it proves we can flourish under any circumstances with water, sun, and nutrients (and we each have spiritual analogies for those in our lives). So can we. It takes strength. Emotional stamina. A strong belief and prayer in God, whether Christian or not, but we cannot grow in our own strength no more than this tree can. Grow a little this week. The alternative is not good.
