I had surgery for spinal stenosis a few years ago. Some of the symptoms you describe certainly sound related to that, ie sciatica, namely the numbness in your feet and pain, difficulty standing for long periods etc.
What meds are you on? I was prescribed Tramadol and Pregabalin, which have both made my RLS a million times worse than it was before, even though I stopped taking them over 8 months ago. Didn’t get symptoms while I was taking them, but symptoms went through the roof if I stopped.
Cramping is a separate issue, not RLS. It sounds as though you’ve got a lot going on at the moment, and for me stress can definitely make RLS worse.
Anyway, as I said, some of what you’re experiencing could be being triggered by medication. Are you down to have an operation for the stenosis?
At the moment I only take Codeine and paracetamol...
Omega3 fishoil-Calcium-Magnesium.
Thanks for your advice.
No operation because I don't want to do that...
Hi Sandee, not heard from you for a while. Sorry you seem to be making no progress.
I genuinely would like to help you, but it doesn't seem possible because I suspect you're not being honest and I'm not sure if the symptoms you describe are real.
This is just an observation, not a criticism. My view is that if you were to offer some realistic facts about yourself, people might be more able to help you meet your needs, whatever they are.
I would like to help.you and you do have my sympathy, not because of your symptoms but because of your need..
I’m just going to through this out here. I’ve had a lot of musculoskeletal issues. some of which you are describing with a shorter leg throwing off my gate and posture and my body compensating for years as my health slowly deteriating. Neck back pain. Knee pain…..
Anyway, about a year ago I started seeing a body worker that is trained in a technique called “anatomy trains” (similar to rolphing) it has changed my life and brought back a measure of functioning and health I haven’t had in a while by fixing my posture and movement and getting rid of muscular and fascial restrictions.
I recently came across this video which I think was a great visual demonstration of what myofascial body work is. Take a look if you are interested.
I am going to watch the video now and will comment later...
Thanks for the info and time.
I am really grateful that there are honest and good people here...
My biggest problem is just that I went to several doctors and they mostly had ALL a different opinion about what is wrong with me.
My neuro told me RLS and anxiety...my orto-doctor (feet) told me I had soda-pop legs/ shoulder and backpain because of a shorter leg and splayfeet and some stenosis...
The housedoctor thinks it is artritis, so...
Who is telling the truth???
All of this STARTED after EVLT-operation that I had 3-4 years ago. EVLT is removing lasering bad veins in my leg...
