Does this sound like fully body rls

When im sitting or standing i feel my back being uncomfortable. When i think of a bed i get anxious and start feeling weird sensations in my body that seem like symptoms of rls that ive read online. Ive been told by members of this community its anxiety but honestly what else explains being uncomfortable? I dont have to move sometimes i just get up off the couch in anguish. The sensations dont stop everyday anytime except when i sleep or when im relaxed. When im relaxed and thinking of rls i feel it though. Prior to researching symptoms i never had any symptoms beside shaking my leg when im nervous whether it be in bed or sitting.

irlssg.org This is the "MUST HAVE" diagnostic criteria for RLS. If you do not have these 5 criteria you do not have RLS.

Ive never had the urge to move and i feel this when im standing as well as sitting. However when i feel pins and needles i stretch my leg. I dont think i have anyone in my family with rls and im taking an antidepressant. I usually feel tingly and restless on antidepressants

Hi popcorn love . Have you got professional medical help yet? We cannot help you on this site. You must get medical diagnosis and stop thinking about RLS.

I have all over body RLS. In my case, the symptoms are extremely different to what they are in the legs and feet. I have had RLS since childhood but only in my legs. Around the age of 50 it moved to my entire body. With the different symptoms it was difficult for me to recognise at first but eventually they were unmistakable.

And they crept up rather sneakily, affecting each body part separately, at a different time. eg: Right shoulder, right upper arm, right lower arm, hand, and then it moved to the left arm etc. Right side of trunk, left side of trunk. You get the jist. The last piece of the puzzle to be affected was my head and neck. Like I said, each body part was affected at a different time ... (taking around 3 months for each body part to be affected).

Sux don't it?

Well when i read about how it can be anywhere i started to feel symptoms. I dont have to move any body parts but i feel a sensation like my body parts are numb such as my hands im in my 20s

Popcornlove,

Your first sentence tells it all and you have a similar sentence on another thread. Developing symptoms only after you’ve read about them is what health anxiety is all about.

You state here that you don’t want to go to your GP because you are afraid they will diagnose you with RLS. My first thought was “I very much doubt they would; they will see this as acute anxiety”.

I recommended in another thread that you go see your GP regarding your bodily symptoms; have you done this?

This is anxiety, not RLS

I believe enough RLS sufferers have told you you don't have it.

You don't have an unrelenting urge to move the afflicted body part. And the sensation is relieved by moving.

You have health anxiety and you need more intensive treatment than you're getting now.

I hope you find a med that gets it to where you can leave the house to get some mental health care.

It's scary, i know. But take the first step.

You'll start to feel better. Don't you want that?
