Weight gain with Pregabalin

Hi I hope someone can tell me that weight gained with Pregabalin can be lost!

I have gained about half a stone over the last three months, and just cannot seem to lose any, though I am trying hard. Has anyone else had this experience?

I put about half a stone on which then levelled out and I’m now gradually losing it. Worth it for the sleep though!

Thank you so much Pam34. The weight gain is all round the middle which means nothing fits and I have gone up a size! I am being careful with food so hopefully I can repeat your experience. As you say, the sleep is good, though not without it’s good and bad nights. Thanks again and good luck.

I had a ravenous appetite when I first started pregabalin and put on a stone ( it also coincided with stopping HRT so I also had menopausal weight gain). I no longer have the ravenous appetite but I will be trying to lose the extra pounds.

Looking on the positive, it does help with RLS and sleep.

Thanks Joolsg, all positive! Time and patience needed, but days and nights so much better so it’s worth it.

Yes but I wouldn’t be without the drug it works for me so I’ll have to put up with the weight gain 🙂
