It’s finally time to see a specialist. RLS every single day without fail, sometimes up in the day, even now at 6 am I’m feeling twitching all the way up both legs... not painful... just annoying. Enough is enough. I’ve read up on this doctor and just curious if anyone in this forum can give me a review before I travel to Tn. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Flute E

This website is in the UK so you may not get the response you are looking for. Have you tried the US RLS foundation? They have a members forum and a list of RLS experts in each US State.

Hi, i have heard of Dr Walter, a doctor Arthur Walters, even tho i am in the UK. He has done research on RLS and has his name to some papers on RLS, I would think you are safe to see him about your RLS.

If this is Dr. Arthur Walters, then a big yes. it sounds like him, if you have been able to read up on him. :) He has his name on many papers and studies, and has worked on things with Dr. B, etc.

Yes, he is the one I was thinking of, and have read some of his work in studies. Just was not sure if he was in TN now or now, but he is. Good job and he is a good one! :)

I see him. I just wrote you a long response and it didn’t send. Short version I tried everything, was at my wits end. Made the trip to TN, loved Dr Walters, he prescribed low dose opiates and it’s been a life changer. Except — his practice will no longer allow him to prescribe out of state because he deals with the really difficult (refractory) patients and they don’t want to write the scripts when he is traveling (you need a new script each month.). My local health care provider is willing to write the prescriptions and monitor me (we have a pain contract like the one I had with Dr. Walters) so that’s been a god-send. I still drive to TN twice a year and it’s totally worth it.
