Hello, I've been on Ropinirole and Gabapentin for years. In the last month my symptoms have increased with leg (only R leg) jumping severely. When driving jumps off accelerator or brake. What's going on. ( max doses of both meds)
Thank you

Could be augmentation. Read the link below or search augmentation in the search box on here.
I agree with Pam. If you’re on maximum of Ropinirole and your leg is “ jumping “ severely in the day then that sounds like Augmentation.
Lots of us have been there so know what it’s like. It creeps up on you over years/ months and you realise the RLS is happening earlier and more severely.
The only way to deal with it is to get off the Ropinirole slowly by reducing the dose by 0.5mg every 2/3 weeks. ( presume you’re on 4 mg).It is helpful to get your serum ferritin levels up - it can reduce the severity of withdrawal. Gabapentin won’t help RLS while you’re augmenting/ withdrawing but is a good option once through it.
Look up all the posts on Augmentation and withdrawal- it will be a light bulb moment.
