Hi everyone it has been a while since I have been on. I am in the process of cutting down on my ropinirole and it seems to be working. I had been a big soda drinker all of my life. On top of that, I drink diet. Everything that is diet has a good shot of containing the drug Aspartame It affects the nerves all over your body, I stopped all aspartame and my RLS is at least 75% improved.

Good to hear Misty tone.

If you’re still on high doses of Ropinirole and anti depressants however, the problem of Augmentation will still be there.

Hi misty

This is interesting because I too drink Diet Coke and have noticed it makes my legs worse.

I will be stopping immediately!!

I don’t consume anything artificial of that type at all and I am in almost daily agony from late afternoon until late at night. Seeing a neurologist next week. Crossing my fingers.

Good to hear that you'v found a cause for your rls. I thik you'll find that aspartame is not alone as a cause, and any artificial sweetener will also worten rls. So will sugar to a lesser degree, so avoiding sodas, ices, cakes etc would be advisable.
