Mirapex not working.

I had a sleep study done in June of 2017 and was diagnosed with periodic limb movement in my sleep. Legs moved over 450 times during the night without waking me. Anyway, long story short. Now after being on Mirapex for over a year it has quit working. Any tips, helpful hints?Was also having insomnia prior to sleep study and it has resumed also.

Do you have rls as well as the PLMD?

What are your symptoms?

What other medications are you on?

What are your iron readings-?

Have you kept a food/ intake diary?

Whatever you do, do not increase the Mirapex, or transfer to another DA.

Your Dr could try Pregabalin or Gabapentin, depending on your symptoms.

The only time I have RLS is if I am extremely tired and have been on my feet all day. My iron levels were fine, they checked them before putting me on Mirapex. Have not considered keeping a food/drink diary, might be a good thing to do. I normally have a hard time falling asleep and if by some miracle am able to go right to sleep will wake up 4-5 times a night. Am lucky if I get 4 hrs a sleep a night. Legs are achey and stiff the next morning. I will also sometimes move my arms as well as my legs according to husband.

Has anyone had acupuncture and had success?

Acupuncture doesn't do anything for rls.

"Iron levels are fine"--- who says? Is your ferritin above 100? Then you're "fine"😋!!!!!!
