I live in Thailand but from Italy, and i am suffering RLS for 3 years now.

Recently i found Blue Lotus Tea that was a great help for my RLS. 5 gr of dry flower with honey and drink 1 hour before bedtime. It make you relaxed and free from RLS. This my personal experience.

I have a load of this stuff that I bought when I was taking oxycontin (for rls) and having trouble sleeping. I must try it again. Do you just put the 5gr of flowers into hot water with the honey? I thought it had to be dissolved in something like wine.

Hi Doug I live in Thailand and can easily find it here, my sorce has the highest quality.

I can ask him to talk to you, but she is Thai and speak thai only.

If you need to buy i usually pay 15$ for 30 gr.

Thanks for your kind offer to help, Massimogromo. I was able to find a vendor who ships Blue Lotus to the US, so I think I'm good for now. Thanks again for the suggestion. I'm looking forward to trying it.

Hi,

I had never heard of Blue Lotus before.

I had a quick look online and The mechanism of action looks interesting though:

Scientific Research on Blue Lotus Extract

Blue lotus’ two main alkaloids are nuciferine and aporphine. A 1978 study found that nuciferine blocks dopamine receptors and has a relaxing, sedative effect. Aporphine in particular is a “dopamine D1 antagonist,” meaning it blocks a specific dopamine receptor. Dopamine receptors in the brain play a role in mood, pleasure, motivation, memory, and more. Blocking dopamine reception means more dopamine — the happiness neurotransmitter — stays in the synapse, potentially leading to a temporary feeling of well-being.
