I read a post yesterday from someone who seems to have a good med idea. The meds they were on ....tramadol 50mg and ropinirole er....trying to remember their schedule....pretty sure 2 mg ropinirole taken at 4 pm.....don't recall the rest. Sound familiar to anyone? Thanks

Should have written it down!!
According to the posts I have read on this site it is rather imperative that not to exceed certain doses of certain meds and 2mg of Ropinirole is eccessive.
Personally I take 0.5mg of Ropinirole and a 50mg Tramadol capsule at around 8pm and it seems to, on most occasions to provide me with 6 to 8 hours sleep every night. I am 72 and otherwise healthy!
Wow....my script reads ropinirole hcl 2 mg tab 3x daily. I'm so aggravated with trying to figure out this condition..finally getting serious about this and since we are close to boston am in the process of trying to find a specialist. Thank you m1946
Good luck. I am from Essex England!!
6 mgs of Requip is six times the recommended therapeutic dose now. 1 mg and MAYBE 2 mgs in some cases is all it should be. When you take a dose that is too high, it will actually turn on you and cause augmentation of symptoms. IT also tells us that you doctor is not up on the current RLS information. Augmentation, which happens only with the dopamine meds, can be a huge problem, and the person usually has to wean down off of it. Dopamine withdrawal is to be done slowly and with the help of other meds to help with the withdrawal symptoms and increased RLS until you get all that dopamine lowered. Lots of people combine meds, a "cocktail" if you will, and that seems to work better for most people who use meds, than one big dose of ONE med.
