Well , my fourth ever post ,so still a newbie just not as shiny😂
A small 'story so far' kinda funny as well as informative , i was given some cannabis butter for pain , i have two crackers with the butter spread on, it tastes horrid so honey or marmalade on top in the evening's . I was doing well ,but had to change the time I ate it to just before bedtime so I could get in sink with the affects and so induce a relaxed sleep.
Well, a couple of nights ago ,my RLS had come on earlier than normal and I was in hellish pain too, i was stood swaying from one leg to other ,thinking what the hell am I going to do to get some calm?, ( i also suffer brain fog so I sometimes forget what's plain to see ,or what I can turn to for pain ,i just need prompting really with" have you tried....so and so" ) i then remembered the cannabis butter (or as i call it "magic butter") in the fridge . It had got to 3 am , i was frazzled and ropey and set to making my "Special crackers ", i ate them and drank my camomile tea , and had a brain storm! ..spread some of the butter on my actual legs ! I have seen cannabis lotions , i thought, worth a try ..and within seconds the rls vanished ,the pain went down to a 4 out of 10 and then within about 5 minutes I couldn't feel anything ?! Which was weird in itself , i quickly turned off the lights and went to bed ,put on my socks pulled my Pajama legs down and got cosy , then I thought ' what the hell is that .?? A strange feeling In my knees and a stranger noise coming from under the duvet? As I peered in, there was the dog , licking my knees almost sucking at my pajama legs !! 😁😂let's just say ,it was a very quiet night , dog included .

🤣 Not only funny, I also thought it was bloody brilliant! (Pardon my expression) As canabis oil, thus including the THC, gave me heart palpitations, this might be the better way to go. I gave the oil to a friend, but shall keep the rubbing-on option in mind if and when I want to try the cannabis again.
Hi, yes apparently you can buy cannabis lotions online too, after I had written my post I went nosying on the net ,I'm sure I saw one that even included Rls on the list of things it could help .
I rub it on my hands at night for arthritis pain and notice it helps my rls and sleep. I have to kick my cat out before I do it or she tries to climb up my legs to lick my hands! Mine also smells like chocolate cause I use cocoa butter when I make it. Very nice but makes my stomach gurgle.
Yep,doggy is fine , she suffered from anxiety , but this seemed to help , now when ever she smells it she's there with bells on , it's okay for animals apparently ,it's usually whatever it is mixed with that isn't good for them , this was only unsalted butter ,so she was fine , just slept really well , and was more relaxed the after too ,not as barky or nervous
Great story. I love animals and we've always had them-mostly rescue or taking in pets friends couldn't take care of anymore. But now in senior living they're allowed but discouraged. I'm still thinking about getting a companion but all by herself in my apt with no interested neighbors I think would be a very lonely existence. I do volunteer at a local humane society. They are very good to me. I use a cane and sometimes a walker so they don't ask me to do anything really physical. All the other volunteers are young. I'm the'oldie' (74). I usually hold animals stay with potential adoption visitors while they check out animals. Just don't let the vet do a doggie drug test!LOL.
Well M_argi, I really enjoyed your story and was sending a reply, and as occasionally happens, my comments disappeared! So, if you get a short funky message, you know what happened, or didn't happen.
I was looking at CBD Oil at my compounding pharmacy and wondering if the capsules or oil would help with arthritis and/or peripheral neuropathy in my hands and legs? Is your version the full cannabis or one of the derivatives like CBD? I can not legally get the cannabis where I live, only the CBD.

Sorry for that , yeah the stuff I use isn't the same as the oil ,though I have tried that also. Mine is the actual stuff in butter ,i don't buy it ,it's given to me . It's not fare in my opinion ,that something beneficial is legal in some places and not in others ..but there's time yet .
