There was something in the RLS UK conference I believe last year which some posted, about the effectiveness of specific exercises which result in increased dopamine levels I think. I never got round to trying. Maybe the chiropractors do something related to this?

My own opinion is i doubt seeing a chiropractor will help your RLS, Not seen anyone yet who has tried it and had success. Please let us know how it goes for you.

Go to YouTube and search for chiropractor and restless leg syndrome. Plenty of "solutions" out there. Here's one now... youtube.com/watch?v=QAoq14N...

Gosh, interesting! But if it was that simple why don't the biochemists etc recognise this and explain it. Too much Potassium is dangerous too. I don't know if the body has a mechanism not to absorb it if too much is taken but I think we need to take care of these large quantities. If there is not a dietary way to take enough potassium then you would think that everyone would be deficient! i did have a low Potassium recently due to BP tabs and thought my RLS was even worse so maybe something in it though.

RLS is a VERY complex biochemical neurological affliction with more than one way to get it and more than one way to alleviate it. There is an "adrenal cocktail" that is 1/4 tsp sea salt and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar (potassium) - mixed with juice. I have used it successfully to alleviate severe muscle cramps. Cream of Tartar has approximately 495mg potassium/tsp - so the 1/4 tsp is fairly small dose in the scheme of things. gotmag.org/the-adrenal-cock...

I saw a chiropractor for 7 months. Didn’t help my RLS

He did show me some pilates leg exercises which are useful though, and I do these 2 or 3 times a night every time my jumpy legs wake me .

Neither osteopathy nor chiropractic has worked for me. A practitioner of the Alexander Technique once claimed that she could help me, but by that time I'd spent so much money on various other failed treatments that I never followed it up.

I haven't tried a chiropracter but did see a couple of other physical therapists: a feldenkrais practitioner, an acupuncturist and someone else - I forget the qualification. No benefit whatsoever. I find the worst thing about the physical techniques (apart from the wasted cash) is the fact that hope gets raised ... and then dashed. I have become quite resistant to them consequently.

On a different note there is someone posting on a US forum at the moment who is on prescription amounts of potassium and gaining relief. However, another forum user then tried the potassium (on prescription from her GP) and it didn't work at all for her. WAAD (we are all different).
