Yes, it has worked for me-- if the bedroom is cold enough.

At the moment I'm in NZ where it's in the 20s at night- so heavy blanket not an option! 😴

Ooh we dream of that! I have a 1910 house...cool in what oasses as summer here....blooming freezing in autumn, winterand most of spring!!

Hi!

I have a weighted blanket that is 10% of my body weight. It is from a company called Sensory Goods. I got it in hopes it would weigh my legs down, calm the movements, and help with my nighttime anxiety. It does a wonderful job at making me feel safe and calming me down. I can even make it through smaller attacks in bed! Wild attacks are another story...

My sleep quality is improving thanks to this blanket!

This is all very interesting! Maybe there is more RLS around since we all have centrally heated houses and have swapped the old blanket system to light duvets. When I was a kid we always had heavy bedclothes and in the winter sometimes there would be ice on the inside of the windows to scrape off in the morning. ...... I am tempted!

Hey Elisse! Hope all is well with you.

Actually...that was my first remark when a weighted blanket was first mentioned for my legs: “that would be torturous”.

Willing to try anything, though, I got one. I am glad I did too!! Unfortunately, the attacks it can quell are very small, so it mainly helps with anxiety.

Take care,

Tried that ..didn't help. But again and again..everyone's different. For me, barefoot in cold surfaces help, and when I'm really exhausted from being awake and fidgety..I put ice packs in my sweats around my calves

barefoot on cold surfaces is one of my remedies too, as is a hot bath so both hot and cold seem to help. sometimes if I can't get the 'switch' to flick off I go out onto the patio in my bare feet, especially good in cold weather but not possible for too long!

2 quilts, and a duvet, and a big heavy memory foam pillow on my feet. Plus socks. Makes my feet nice and warm -good as I can’t sleep with cold feet period. Does no good for the RLS. Just makes it annoying(when the RLS ultimately wins)for me to finally get out of bed because of all the heavy stuff on me!
