As the names and the dosages differ between countries it's hard for me to give advice but I was taking 300mg Gabba 3 times/day for 3/4 years (I think). I was taking so much other medication that something had to go and I decided to wean myself off the Gabba altogether.
After approximately 6 weeks I had completely reduced my intake to zero and seemed to be coping. For 6 weeks ... and the pain returned.
So we started on Lyricas smallest dose and it worked. During a short stint in hospital for an unrelated issue, a '12 yr old' Doctor stopped my Lyrica intake altogether and I don't think I have suffered any significant consequences.
BUT ... it seems quite obvious that when dealing with RLS, it's always a case of 'Different Strokes for Different Folks'.
