Hi had RLS for a few years now , I had hip replacement six months ago and my legs arms and hands have gone mad I'm going crazy with lack of sleep and the crawling irritation of this complaint . Any one help x

What meds if any are you on, including OTC stuff like anti histamines? Have you had a recent blood test? Your serum ferritin needs to be 75 or above.

RLS is known to flare up after surgery but perhaps some meds are causing it to be worse than it needs to be.

Have you also recently stopped /reduced any strong painkillers following your op as that can cause /worsen RLS?

Thanks for your reply I have cut down on my tramadol from 6 to 2 a day didnt want to be on them for any longer was 3 years since started but Doc doesn't seem interested thou he is sending me for a blood test I have heard this said so many times on this site it is such a debilitating thing why so easily dismissed by the health service x
