When I am awakened, I start walking. If I walk briskly for 10 minutes, then 95% of the time I can go back to sleep for at least 3-4 hours. The key is to walk briskly, but to not get dizzy by walking in circles. I do a figure 8 to avoid that risk. I usually do this before going to bed as well. That tends to delay the first awakening due to RLS. If I do not do this, I often am awakened within an hour.

Hi Davidadill, I can identify with this. I get up several times a night and generally do household chores and ten minutes can send me back to sleep for an hour, then I'm up again. Sometimes I need half an hour walking around.
