Just starting on Premaplaxine

Please excuse the spelling but I have just come off Roperal due to it having adverse effects in my liver and straight onto premaplaxine 0.88. Am I correct to be worried about taking this tablet ?

Do you mean Pramipexole for the first one, and Ropinerole for the 2nd one? They are both the same class of med, as in dopamine meds, so if Ropinerole was causing you to have adverse effects on your liver, you really need to find out why your doctor thinks that another form of the same med would not cause bad effects. Unfortunately, a large percentage of meds do have some effect on the liver. it is all about finding the least offensive one for you. But, both those meds are the same class, with the same action in your body. I am perplexed why your doctor would do that, and you need to sit down and really talk to him/her.

Also that is a very high dose of Prami- might it actually be 0.088?

From rls point of view- no real difference.

Really, the chap from the sleeping clinic is in charge of my RLS, I am very disappointed as he told me the ropinerol was having adverse effects on my liver and that the new drug won't. Thank you for the reply
