What this with bar of soap people say it works does it ?

Hi larrylamb

If you type in "bar of soap" in the Search Box you can read other posts and replies about putting a bar of soap at the end of the bed to ward off RLS symptoms. For most people it does not work but some say it helps them sleep well. By all means try it, a bar of soap does not cost much and you can always use the soap to wash with if it does not work for you. If it does work it is the placebo effect but that does not matter if it keeps your RLS at bay.

i have 2 bars of soap, as i will try anything for relief, and i must say lying very stretched out on my bed helps, have no explanation, and did not even expect it to, but hey ho

It sounds weird, but to reduce leg cramps or rls is put a soap(maybe put it in a sock of something ) on the bottom of your foot.(Ivory soap) this is for you absolutely harmless. It is important to keep the soap always fresh though; this technique works by means of emitted ions. When soap completely dry, it will stop the ion release and therefore becomes useless.

I thought it was a wind up when the soap in bed was1st sugested but i would be willing 2 try any thing and it is helping a bit i must admitt
