June 22A post note If I have learned anything there is no hard and fast rule any reaction is possible despite the fact lists are available to contradict the evidence.does this make sense?

Am at a loss as to title.
Absolutely not. 😂
Nope, not getting any sense from that!
Hi Retren, I think I know what you mean ...... that when suffering with RLS there is absolutely nothing that works for or helps all, whatever one reads or tries to do to help oneself or whatever device one may obtain, after reading about the pros for it.
Response to everyone22June.I meant that every case is different and reading text books which point out certain things are not part of the known complaints does not mean that they do not exist.I was posting in response to some poor soul being dismissed by her physician. One would think we enjoyed all these symptoms. It would be very beneficial to us all if these Drs had a bout of this condition. We were taught unless we had experienced a problem we could not judge and therefore accepted the case history absolutely. My usual articulate language seems to have deserted me when faced with typing it out.My apologies.
I agree, suffering with RLS, does not have hard and fast ruling. We all suffer the same as regarding its a horrendous condition which stops us sleeping. But other than that, we can ALL differ with what works meds wise what works food wise what works exercise wise etc etc, and the same as what doesnt work. etc etc. Not everyone suffers the same, some have mild symptoms some have severe. Some can have different sensations from some one else. A doctor can look in his book and decide you dont have RLS or you cant possibly have that symptom etc etc. Unless a doctor has experience of RLS and has actually studied it they can get it wrong, same as neuro's they SHOULD know but not all do.
Elissa 22June Thank goodness you understood my comment I was beginning to think I had lost my marbles.
Kaarina thank you for your response to my post.It seems I am having trouble communicating with some members.Hopefully it will straighten out eventually.
Hi Retren
I have to admit that initially I did not understand your comment either.
However, having read the responses from Kaarina and Elisse I do now understand what you are getting at. And yes I agree.
Personally I think that is the same for several of the so-called invisible illnesses that have not been fully investigated and are not yet fully understood.
And as Elisse says we all react differently to meds etc and develop symptoms differently so not every case is going to be the same. Sometimes it can be very hard to get even the medical profession to understand.
