Am I right in assuming you had experienced augmentation hence the move from Mirapexin to Ropinirole?

Welcome and good health.

Hi welcome jennypc 1 ,, there is always someone on here to help ,,great advise from some ,as Carol 1948 asked, did you get to used to your old meds that they weren't working anymore ( that is called Augmentation ) so the dr is trying you on something else ? the same thing happened to me a couple of months ago ,,dr put me on Ropinorole but I got terrible headaches day and night tried for two weeks but couldn't stand it any longer so went back to dr and she changed my meds at the moment all good ,you obviously need to go back to your dr and try something else there are a lot of different  meds they can try ,don't get to down hearted ,we all go through bad times that's why we have a group like this keep in touch and good luck

Hi Jennypc1. I was the same as you, i was on pramipexole for about four years every time i went to the doctor he would up the dose it got so bad i then found this forum were a few people on hear said it was augmentation, so i ask my doctor to change my meds be put me on ropinirole that took 10 days to work, like you i was up half the night

Crying did,nt no what to do with myself. Went back to the doctor who put up the dose and gave me co-codamol some nights now i don,t have to take the co-codamol. At first the Ropinirole gave me acid reflux but that as settled now still get it but not as bad
