Has anyone tried one of these boards being advertised over here,( so think you would have them to ) you stand on them and they shake your body ,I think they're meant for toning but since we shake rattle and roll anyway would they be good or no?

I think i know the one you mean, but whether it would help or not i dont know. :)

Hi Mopsy, I use a machine like that at the gym, its called a Power Plate and it vibrates at various rates depending on your settings. I use it for another pain condition tho and haven't noticed any difference in my RLS, but it might help someone else, this condition is nothing if not varied in its presentation and therefore in what may or may not help. Good luck.

Hi Mopsy do NOT buy that board you stand on and shake it costs nearly a thousand dollars and my friends have sent theirs back as it was making a terrible noise and they replaced it . a couple of weeks later the second one went pop inside not to go again .

Ok just thought they might do too jobs in one ,,get fit and help legs

Hi Mopsy, sorry you've had replies that don't encourage you to get the machine you've seen but looking at those it could be a big waste of money for you. You could try and find a gym with a Power Plate machine but I think you'll be disappointed and find it doesn't help. I use it at the end of an exercise session, it's like having a whole body massage in a short space of time. Hang on in there.

It was just the way they make the body shake ,though they might shake the b nerves enough to stop ( wishful thinking )

Ok cheers will get some today

Hi again Mopsy, I was still curious about the vibrating machine and checked out the Power Plate at the gym, then online. There are different sizes of them ranging from £2,000 to £11,000 but maybe if you could find one at a gym somewhere you could find out if it's any help. It's definitely relaxing which is something.

Watch what you do with the plate machine because if you have any trapped nerves it will drive them mad sorry.
