Hi everyone, I recently was told the mirapax I use for rls is causing my blood pressure to be too low. Can anyone tell me what works for them? Does massages help?

Hi Denae, everyone responds differently to meds, so what we tell you works for us, doesnt mean it will work for you. Look at the meds available for RLS on rls-uk.org and rlshelp.org Its trial and error when finding what works for us. Has your doctor told you to stop the mirapex because of low blood pressure. Massage can help but only while you are doing it.

I took Maripex first when my friend who is an internist heard some of her friends who are also doctors, were taking it. I loved the feeling it gave me. I felt invincable and all my compulsive habits became the focus of my life. I gambled excessively and had never even gambled much. I lost as most gamblers do and finally got elp to understand it was Maripex driving me to excess behavior.

I have been off it for several years now and the economic behavior I exhibited then still affects my life negatively.

Not everyone has their bad habits amplified by Maripex but i caution you to watch out. It an wreck your economic as well as your personal life!

Oh it is a nasty nasty drug! It had my thinking really messed up, (kept thinking about wanting to die) and the hyper-sexuality was a real hard thing to cope with, (should have slipped a few into the wife's tea ).

Take good care on it and speak to someone close that can keep an eye on your behaviours and alert you if they notice things going on.

Funny how in most places you can take drugs that cause horrendous side-effects and as Windwalker has experienced long lasting damage to well-being even after the drug is stopped but drugs like cannabis which is quite safe aren't allowed! Makes you think, well me anyway, that the powers that be want to keep us sick!!!

Yeah, I think that sometimes too. It has helped with my legs but I was about to need a higher dose. Almost off of it.
