Sangha like every one with rls that's what it's like ,I don't know what you have taken or are taking, but after years of taking so many different tabs I am now on Tramodol and Pregablin and I have found relief at last ,but if I don't take tabs on time it's soon back maybe you could try those ,let us know how things go x

I take 4 ropinrole before bed. One would never work for me.

Hope they can come up with something new soon as there are so many people suffering.

Taking 4 does it actually work for you?

Hi sangha. yes I take 2 at 5pm and 4 before I go to bed. My doctor said the safe limit is 6. They are prescribed for patients suffering with parkinsons.

I don't get it that often but when I do I know about it but think I will have to change meds thanks for your advice

We all need to remember that there are good days and bad days with RLS.

Is your problem mostly at night? Have you had your ferritin level checked? Are you taking other meds that might be aggravating your RLS?

Have you tried Neupro patch. It is a slow release and effective for many.

Yes, to some extent we mostly have to " live with it" but with the right treatment, it should be liveable.

I have recently been to see a consultant re. Chronic insomnia and his advice was to raise ferritin levels above 70 to treat my restless legs.

So did that help you

What actually works for you

sangha have you looked at other meds you can try. rls-uk.org or rlshelp.org at the treatment page you will find the list of meds available for RLS. The highest dose for Ropinerole is now to take no more than 1mg...2mg at a push. Augmentation is what most people are now complaining about because they are on a high dose of either Ropinerole or Pramipexole. Augmentation is where either of those two meds start to actually make your RLS worse, rather than give relief. So, as the Ropinerole isnt even helping you then you need to change to something else.
