ropinorole and gabbapentin

are these a good combination for rls as this is what my my wife as been given by specialist

Alot of people take both. The thing to remember it to keep the ropinerole dose as low as poss to try to avoid augmentation. Taking two meds along side each other is a good way to treat RLS, that way you can keep the dosage lower.

I agree! I experienced agonizing augmentation on ropinirole as my dr kept increasing the dose from 2 mg a day up to 6. I titrated down back to 1 mg/day but had many sleepless nights. My new dr added 300 mg of Gabapentin. This combination is working well. Rarely feel the symptoms now, and could almost forget to take the medications, but if I don't I wake up with RLS in the night. I take them both at bedtime and sleep well. No more symptoms early in the day. I agree with Elisse - keep ropinerole dose as low as possible!

I take 2mg of Ropinirole daily and 3 tabs of GP daily - together they work for me
